Is the pandemic speeding up your retirement plans?

I’ve noticed a growing trend in the conversations I’m having with clients during this time.

There’s no doubt that the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown has given us all time to think and reflect on what’s important in our lives. For some this means they are ready to start transitioning into the next phase of their lives – or at least start planning for it.

This might be a forced consideration due to changes in their business or employment, but for many it “just feels like the right time”. However, people are often unsure about the affordability of this, which can easily cause unrest and anxiety, when it should be a time to get excited!

If you are in this position, I have a simple message: give us a call! We are here to help, that’s our job. This extends to any friends or family who are finding themselves in a similar position.

How we help
Much of our personal development time is spent on making sure we’re equipped to ask the right questions and really listen to what is being said. This is all designed to help you truly understand what’s important to you and what you want your future to look like.

We can then construct a financial model of your future (we call it a ‘cashflow forecast’). This is far more detailed than a simple spreadsheet – we use our expertise in tax rules, growth assumptions, economic assumptions and more to create a picture of your financial future.

And then, as Charted Financial Planners, we can use our technical skills to make sure that your money is doing what it should be for you. This is all designed to provide you with the reassurance and confidence that you can make the transition into the next exciting phase of your life, either now or at some point in the future.

Let us help you
So, give us a call – or tell your friends or family to give us a call – and let us help you to make some of the major life decisions that you might currently be considering.
