Here at Ovation, we take the development of our staff very seriously.  As you will see from the Philosophy page, we are very focussed on client service.  However, we also like to have fun, and believe that we al work better when we work in an environment we enjoy.

As such, we have a loyal and expanding client bank, who receive annual reviews, and who value our service based proposition.  Clients, and their professional advisers, enjoy working with Ovation, as we see beyond products, and advise on all aspects of a clients’ financial affairs.

IFA

The advisers employed by Ovation understand the importance of providing a service.  They are paid by basic salary, with a company bonus scheme in addition.  They are not paid based upon the amount of commission they can generate.

We are therefore seeking self motivated and enthusiastic advisers, with or without their own clients.  We have a research and paraplanning department, and advisers are therefore encourage to spend as much of their time as possible in front of clients, and responding to client needs.  Strong technical knowledge is essential.

Although clients will be provided, advisers are also expected to be able to generate their own clients, by using the existing professional connections that Ovation has built up over the years.

Good organisational skills are also essential.  Although we try and keep the advisers involvement with administration to a minimum, there are some basic systems (such as completion of timetracker system, use of 1st software) which need to be adhered to.

In general, an adviser with Ovation will feel part of a fun and lively team, with strong back up, and will enjoy working closely with all aspects of a clients’ affairs, and will receive the job satisfaction of making a real difference to their lives.

Paraplanner / Trainee IFA – CAS

As a Paraplanner / Trainee IFA your role will involve paraplanning, helping to conduct research, and putting together reports and client review packs.

With your enthusiastic approach, to succeed as a Paraplanner / Trainee IFA you must have previous Paraplanning or IFA experience, and you must be CAS qualified (Competent Advisor Status). Although not essential, any experience of using 1st Software would be beneficial.

This opportunity would suit a candidate with current paraplanning experience who is looking to become more involved with clients and train to become an IFA. We are also keen to hear from part qualified IFAs who are looking for an opportunity to develop their skills further.

As a Paraplanner / Trainee IFA you should also be self motivated, an independent thinker and a good team player.

Administration/Paraplanner Role Advertisement

As an administrator/paraplanner, your role will combine new business support with paraplanning, helping to put together reports and client review packs.  The role would be ideal for someone with experience as an administrator in financial services, and who is looking to develop their technical expertise over time, possibly moving towards a full time paraplanner, and maybe even an adviser.

As the company grows, so our staff and their roles grow with it.  The ideal applicant will have experience of an IFA practice, be able to use Microsoft Office, have used 1st Software, have experience of customer service, be organised and an independent thinker, and be a good team member. Audio typing skills would be a bonus.
